Additional elements below roof window

ADDITIONAL ELEMENT GIL ABOVE

VERTIVAL WINDOW ELEMENT VFE

Vertical window element VFE can be installed below a combination

of a roof window with addtional window element GIL.

For this purpose, use ﬂashings EFW/EFL together with ﬂashing

extensions ETW/ETL.

As the sash of additional element GIL cannot be opened, it is neces-

sary to remove it in order to ﬁt covers between GIL and the vertical

window element.

Follow these guidelines during installation:

1. As the sash of the additional element GIL is secured with screws,

the screws must be loosened. Depending on the roof pitch, it may

be necessary to remove the sash.

2. Fit covers between the additional element and the vertical

window element.

3. Having ﬁtted the covers, reﬁt sash.
